OUR ART PARTNER
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
The Grammy® Award-winning Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra celebrated 80 years in the community this
past season. Led by Music Director Nathalie
Stutzmann, the Symphony undertook a multi-season
Beethoven Project, digging into his complete
symphonies and showcasing the musicians of the
orchestra and chorus in his epic Missa Solemnis.
Memorable concerts in Symphony Hall included
a guest performance by cellist Yo-Yo Ma and two
Mahler symphonies, which opened and closed the
Delta Classical Series. In the community, the ASO
revived the King Celebration Concert in partnership
with Ebenezer Baptist Church and performed a free
concert for thousands in Piedmont Park. The
orchestra released its first commercial recording with
Stutzmann at the helm, featuring music by Dvořák for
Warner Classics. The ASO balanced its operating
budget for the 11th straight year and experienced
vibrant, full halls of audience members for its wide
variety of offerings. Learn more at aso.org.
