ATLANTA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
Movies in Concert
Multiple times a year, our patrons delight in the ultimate
cinematic experience at the Movies in Concert series
presented by Invesco QQQ. Guests can witness iconic
movies displayed on a 40-ft screen in Atlanta Symphony
Hall while the full orchestra performs the film score live on
stage. From sweeping fantasy epics to beloved animated
adventures, this unforgettable series blends the magic
of film with the thrill of live music in a setting unlike any
other.
In 2024, guests experienced the charm and wit of The
Princess Bride, the soaring adventure of How to Train Your
Dragon, and the supernatural fun of Ghostbusters, all
brought to life through powerful orchestral arrangements.
Each performance offered a unique opportunity to revisit
favorite films in a whole new way—hearing every note,
beat, and theme performed live as the story unfolds on
the big screen. The whole family could enjoy the
enchanting songs of Frozen, the magical world of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™—and set sail with
Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black
Pearl. Whether patrons are reliving cherished classics
or discovering them anew, the Movies in Concert series
promises a truly immersive evening of film and music that
leaves audiences spellbound.
